Dough monster is spotted lurking in Leith bin

A PIZZA shop is investigating after a stomach-churning picture emerged online of dough spilling from a bin.

Pounds of dough were heaped in the waste bin which is parked near Papa John’s in Leith.

Much of the gooey mess had already spilled out on to the pavement.

The picture was taken by Ailsa Burn-Murdoch as she was walking along Crown Street in Edinburgh on her way to work.

She said: “I have a feeling @PapaJohnsUK owe a local sanitation worker free pizza for a year. Thanks for livening up my walk to work #EdinburghLeithWalk #doughmonster.”

One of Mrs Burn- Murdoch’s follower, Siani, said that the scene was “Grim.”

Papa John’s UK tweeted Mrs Murdoch directly and said that they were investigating the incident.

They said: “Thanks for letting us know about this. We’re currently investigating this further directly with the store.”
