Kevin Bridges is enjoying the sweet taste of victory thanks to Cadbury

COMEDIAN Kevin Bridges is enjoying the ‘sweet taste of victory’ after Cadbury sent some chocolate goodies after a vending machine battle earlier this month.

The Scot waged war with the confectionary giant after his Crispello bar got stuck inside the machine, refusing to drop.

Despite his “midwife” tactics, Bridges was left empty handed until today when he received a surprise delivery.

The star arrived home to a bag of Crispello chocolates and three individual bars before sharing his excitement on Twitter.

He wrote: Arrived home to these from @CadburyUK Good to finally draw a line under such an unfortunate incident. Thank you.”

He followed up with a second tweet to the confectionary kings: “Now I feel a whole lot better about this” Ace (Stand by Me)  @CadburyUK”

Fans shared their delight for the star but warned of the health consequences.

Franko McEwan said: “Moment on the lips, lifetime on the hips Kev.”

Another user said: “We call folk like you… moochin bastard lol.”

Bridges told fans about his battle on November 5 in a tweet.

He said: “Standing at this vending machine like a midwife here, come on, puuush!”

The funny man even tried to get “technical assistance” by phoning the machine’s helpline but to no avail.

In a series of tweets he complained to the confectionary company.

Bridges said: “Calls charged at a Crispello per minute but it’s the principle.. Never even tried a Crispello, sad to think I maybe never will.. @CadburyUK

“Hi @CadburyUK  I just paid £1 for one of your “Crispello” bars at a faulty vending machine. Is it possible to have one posted to me? Thanks.

“I feel I should be commended for a display of tremendous restraint where others would have had the situation turn ugly @CadburyUK Thanks.

Following that, Bridges then tweeted food giants Nestle, to see what they made of his situation: “Alright @Nestle  did you hear what happened to me tonight??”

Fans of the comic joined in, piling pressure on the firm by using the hashtag #refundkevinbridges.
