HOLLYWOOD star Ewan McGregor made his singing comeback by joining Robbie Williams on stage for a one-off performance.
The star, who sang in big screen musical Moulin Rouge, joined Williams at the fundraising event for children in Syria.
The stars, both of whom are UNICEF ambassadors, raised over £40,000 with the performance in London on Thursday night.
The star-studded UNICEF Halloween Ball also counted Sir Roger Moore, Claudia Schiffer, Cat Deeley, Lauren Laverne and Steve Jones among guests.
McGregor tweeted after the UNICEF event: “Tonight I sang on stage with my fellow Unicef ambassador Robbie Williams.
“We sang Angels. What a moment. I had a great time.”
One fan uploaded a 15-second clip of the duet, which shows McGregor singing a line from the famous song, greeted by loud cheers from the crowd.
McGregor sings two lines from Williams’ hit Angels, getting a clap from Williams and huge cheers from the audience.
Fans took to social media to congratulate the Star Wars actor and search for elusive video footage.
Pamela Frew tweeted: “Just saw that short clip,you do have a good voice,well done to you and Robbie…for the cause…”
In 2001, McGregor surprised fans with his singing ability when he landed the lead role in Baz Luhrmann’s screen musical Moulin Rouge.
McGregor played the role of a young English poet Christian who falls in love with the terminally-ill star of the Moulin Rouge, courtesan Satine, played by Nicole Kidman.
The film was nominated for eight Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actress for Nicole Kidman.
It was the first musical nominated for Best Picture in 10 years, following Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in 1991.
