Edinburgh singer prepares for road to stardom

AFTER mixing with showbusiness royalty in London, Scots singer Colin Chisholm faced a more mundane job in Edinburgh yesterday: grocery shopping.

And Colin, 60, went about his chores at Morrisons in the city’s Portobello Road completely unnoticed by fellow shoppers.

His rendition of ‘I Drove All Night’ by Cyndi Lauper, won him the support of legend Sir Tom Jones on the BBC’s talent show, The Voice.

He and his fellow successful contests will come together in London on the 16th of May to commence the battle to stardom.

The Scot has been seen rubbing shoulders with many celebrities, namely Holy Willoughby, whom he coaxed into supporting his favourite football club, Hearts.

No stranger of the limelight, Chisholm has featured regularly across the music scene and came close to fame with his band, Bilbo Baggins. The group regularly supported the Bay City Rollers as they shared the same manager, Tam Paton.

‘Bilbo’ was not to last however and they had split up by the 80’s with Colin pursuing solo gigs across the capital.
