Gangnam Style music video shows the “crazy” side of Dull villagers

RESIDENTS of the Scottish village of Dull have created  a wacky YouTube video in a bid to prove they are actually quite interesting.

The Gangnam Style parody was posted last week and features locals in kilts and wigs striking “crazy” poses.

The video ends with the dancers posing next to the Perth and Kinross village’s famous road sign while they hold a card that reads: “I don’t think so.”

Safari workers thought the video would make them look more intriguing than the village name suggests

Staff at Highland Safaris, which is based in the village, made the film to help raise funds for Comic Relief 2013.

Julie Riddell, director of the firm, said: “We were anything but a ‘Dull’ lot – cavorting around with wigs, antlers and red noses.

“Even the deer were looking on with worried interest.”

But the reception to Dull’s attempt at an image makeover has been a little underwhelming, possibly because everyone else has moved on to making Harlem Shake parodies.

The video has been watched just 1,400 times so far and inspired three comments, one of which was “hi”.

The village’s unfortunate name is believed to relate to the gaelic word for meadow.

Last year, Dull – which has a population of just 50 –  twinned with the village of Boring in Oregon, US.
