A 22-year-old man has died at home after suffering a seizure.
Sporty Craig Morrell, fromDundee, collapsed at his flat on Monday and passed away before paramedics could treat him.
Craig, who suffered from epilepsy, was a keen football player and worked at a local construction firm.
His family paid moving tribute to their son – saying Craig had left a “huge hole” in the lives of everyone around him.
His heartbroken dad, also called Craig, 40, said: “I’m devastated, I can’t believe it. He was my only son and the only grandson in the family.
“All the family were here yesterday and we’ve had messages from all his friends.
“Craig had epilepsy and from what we are led to believe it has to do with that. I think he has had a seizure.
“It’s every parent’s worst nightmare. We loved him to bits. I’m sure all his friends will miss him.”
One of Craig’s oldest friends, cage fighter Liam Cunningham, is gutted by the loss of his friend who he was inseparable from since they were kids.
He said: “We were joined at the hip. Every night after school we would run home, get changed and go up the park.
“He used to live across the road from me and even when he moved away toCamperdown Roadwe kept in touch.
“I felt like I had lost a brother.
“I spoke to him eleven days ago, he asked me about my upcoming fight and we were going to meet up this weekend.”

Tributes to Craig have been circulating on Twitter with support being voiced for dad Craig Sr, mum Karen, 40, and sister Kelsey, 19.
One friend Hayley McNamara tweeted: “My heart is broken, Craig Morrell you will be missed so much, You were one of the bestest people I have ever met! Won’t forget the memories. ”
Another pal, Kimberley Low, wrote: “Another life lost, I have no words. This cannot be real. Never ever expected this… Sleep tight Craig Morrell.”
Drew Ross tweeted: “Thoughts go out to Butch’s family and everyone one of his mates! Rip Craig Morrell x ”
Craig was a huge Dundee FC fan and regularly travelled to away games to support the club as well as watching home games.
He also played right-back for Sunday league football team Snug AFC and recently won clubman of the year.
Snug’s manager Dale Kelly said: “It’s not really sinking in to be honest. It’s not been a great time.
A former pupil of Lawsade, Craig also worked for Brown Construction.
The company’s managing director said: “The thoughts of all the staff and workers at Brown Construction are with his family during this sad time.”
A spokesperson for Tayside Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious but a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
