ScotRail kicks off 60 Days of Summer

SCOTRAIL has launched a new Facebook app to give customers the chance to win prizes – and get inspiration for family days out –  over the school holidays.

The 60 Days of Summer app encourages those who ‘like’ the ScotRail Facebook page try to win prizes such as family cinema passes, entry to attractions and rail passes once a day until 31 August 2012.

Users can gain extra chances to play each day by sharing the app with their Facebook friends.

Graeme Macfarlan, ScotRail’s marketing manager, said: “It can be difficult to keep the family amused during the summer holidays – especially when the weather turns typically Scottish.

“We want to give families the chance to win prizes that will keep them busy over the coming weeks.  We also hope that the app provides an easy way to get some inspiration on what to do during the holidays.”

Prizes available include cinema passes and entry into attractions such as the Hampden Experience and Scottish Football Museum, The Edinburgh Dungeon and The Scottish Seabird Centre.

ScotRail’s Kids Go Free ticket also gives free child entry into a range of attractions across Scotland.

Up to two children aged 5-15 can travel for free off-peak, all week with each adult who purchases a Kids Go Free ticket.
