A CHEEKY football fan is rubbing salt into the wounds of Hibs supporters by offering their “unused” parade bus for sale online.
The spoof ad on classified website Gumtree is offering a “green and white open top bus” for £1,902.
The price references the last time Hibernian won the Scottish Cup final, which was lifted by city rivals Hearts last week.
The advert included an image of the victorious Hearts team
The Hearts fan, who is identified only as living in the Longstone area of the city posted the advert alongside an image of the Hearts team on their victory parade.
The ad read: “Green and white open top bus. Immaculate condition. Never used. Needs exterior paint job.
“Space upstairs for 11 football players, if they turn up.
“Very similar to attached picture minus all the glory.
“Would possibly suit young person looking to live for 100 years.”
The two Edinburgh clubs who date back to the 1870’s played their derby final at Hampden on Saturday, May 19 where Hearts gave Hibernian a severe beating of 5-1.
The next day The Jambos could be seen proudly brandishing the new silverware atop the parade bus the donated by Lothian Buses.
The company had spent the previous afternoon spraying the bus the colours of the winning team.
The rivals have met only once before in Scottish Cup history back in 1896 when Hearts won 3-1.
But the Hibees hold the record for the biggest derby win in a competitive match when they beat Hearts 7-0 at Tynecastle on New Year’s Day 1973.
