Traffic instructions for visitors to Glamis Gathering

GLAMIS Gathering takes place on Sunday, May 20 at Glamis Castle.  Gates are open from 10.30 am onwards.  A large volume of traffic is expected.  In order to prevent congestion in the surrounding area, it is requested that traffic attending the event follows the travel routes provided:

From Perth:

Traffic travelling from Perth, will leave the City Centre along the A94 (Scone Rd)

Continue along the A94 through Balbeggie

Continue along the A94 through Burrelton

Continue along the A94 to Coupar Angus

Follow the A94 through Coupar Angus, signed Forfar

Continue along the A94 through Meigle

Continue along the A94 to Glamis

Follow event signage into the event

 

From Forfar (and areas north of Forfar)

From the A90, follow signage onto A94 to Glamis

Travel along A94 to Glamis village

Follow event signage into the event

 

From Kirriemuir (and areas north of Kirriemuir):

On leaving Kirriemuir, travel South on the A928, to Glamis

Follow event signage into the event

From A90 (South of Forfar toPerth)

Travel North on the A90

Do not leave the A90, until its junction with the A94

Turn left onto the A94

Travel along A94 to Glamis village

Follow event signage into the event

Would all drivers please use the event car parks within the castle grounds as a “No Parking” plan will be in place in Glamis village.

Due to the volume of vehicles, some delays are expected when leaving the castle grounds.  Police Officers and stewards will actively manage queues in order to have vehicles exit the area as quickly and efficiently as possible.  The patience and consideration of drivers attending the event will be greatly appreciated.
