Theft from taxi at hospital

A THIEF stole hundreds of pounds from a taxi after damaging the vehicle’s window.

The cash, which was held in a black money bag, was taken in the Elgin area of Moray.

The incident occurred between 7.05pm and 8.10pm on Thursday, May 17, within the Old Entrance Carpark at Dr Grays Hospital, Elgin.

Grampian Police are keen to trace anyone who was in the vicinity at the time, and who may have seen or heard something suspicious.

Investigating Officer Constable Stacie Harper said: “We are keen to speak with anyone who was within the Old Entrance Carpark of Dr Grays at the time of the incident and may have seen something or someone near to the scene.”
