TENNIS ace Andy Murray’s mum Judy got a taste of Edinburgh’s traffic chaos – tweeting a photo to prove it.
The tennis coach tweeted a snap of a broken down bus as she drove through the city’s Queen Street earlier this afternoon.
The bus, which was suffering suspension problems, appeared to have nosedived into the road.
Judy Murray is a keen Twitter user.
Judy shared the photo with her 22,000 followers on Twitter today, writing: “The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round… er no they don’t. Nose diving bus on Edinburgh’s Queen St today…”
The photo was re-tweeted six times by her followers, with one writing: “Wow…now that’s something you don’t see every day!”
Another fan added: “What happened to the bus? I was wondering why traffic in the west end was so bad!”
When asked by one follower whether it could have been an “obese driver with some heavyweights eating chips at the front?,” Judy joked: “haha might have been. Or Dolly Parton at the wheel?”
Bill Devlin, engineering director for Lothian Buses, said the vehicle was now being worked on by the bus company’s engineers.
Mr Devlin said: “One of our buses experienced suspension problems today [Friday] and was taken out of service; while being recovered there was an issue with the securing strap. The vehicle is now being worked on by our engineers.”
