THE all-Edinburgh Scottish Cup Final is set to be the biggest football showdown in 116 years.
But football fans won’t have to wait until 19 May to see city rivals Hearts and Hibs come face to face as Lothian Buses unveils a winning design for its fleet to celebrate the forthcoming Capital Derby.
From this week, Heart of Midlothian and Hibernian football fans will see their support from Lothian Buses on the back of 30 services buses spread across their fleet with the specially created designs showing the two Edinburgh teams preparing for battle for the prestigious title.
With Grant Stott supporting Hibs and John Robertson on side for the Jambos, the pair will each represent their teams on behalf of Lothian Buses for the final, which takes place at Hampden on Saturday 19 May.
Ian Craig, Managing Director of Lothian Buses, commented: “Like the city of Edinburgh, the Lothian Buses workforce is loyal supporters of both Hearts and Hibs and we are delighted to be showing our support for both teams.
“It’s a rare occasion to see these two great teams competing for such a honourable accolade and we wish them all the best at the Scottish Cup Final.”
