TWO people have been arrested and charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act after Lothian and Borders Police recovered Class A and B drugs in West Lothian yesterday evening.
Officers in Linlithgow carried out personal searches on the occupants of a BMW car during which time quantities of herbal cannabis and crack cocaine were seized along with a four-figure sum of cash.
A 47-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man are scheduled to appear in court tomorrow in connection with alleged drug offences.
A police spokesman said: “Lothian and Borders Police is committed to removing the scourge of drugs from our communities and bringing those involved in their supply to justice.
“As a result of proactive policing in Linlithgow, local officers were able to ensure that crack cocaine and herbal cannabis meant for our communities is now in the possession of police.
