WINK, Peace & Pout, known for its mix of hippy vintage meets rock chick, has created limited edition t-shirts to be sold in support of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The firm has launched a run of its t-shirts created exclusively in yellow with all profits from the sales going directly to the charity.
Scots model Amanda Hendrick, 22, who has graced the cover of Vogue magazine, and her colleagues have been supporting Marie Curie during its recent Great Daffodil Appeal. Last month, Amanda took to the streets with her collecting tins wearing a custom-made dress, designed and made exclusively for the charity by Claire.
Speaking about this latest charitable endeavour, Claire, 26, said: “We are very excited to be able to offer 50 people the chance to buy these t-shirts emblazoned in bright yellow, vividly echoing Marie Curie’s emblem – the daffodil.
“The three of us really admire the work of Marie Curie and we feel that our ethos at Wink, Peace & Pout compliments the passion that Marie Curie staff have in their constant care for people using their services.”
Karen Milne, fundraising manager, Marie Curie, said: “Thanks to the creative energy of Amanda, Claire and Holly, these t-shirts are a brilliant way for others to support us in providing expert care and the best quality of life, totally free, for people with cancer and other life limiting illnesses in our hospices as well as in the home.”
Glasgow based designer Claire also offered up her couture skills as an auction prize at the annual Great Daffodil Ball on 31 March 2012. Fetching an amazing £750 for the charity she will now design and make a gown for the lucky bidder.
