Grave vandalised in West Lothian

A GRAVE has been vandalised in a West Lothian cemetery.

Lothian and Borders Police are appealing for witnesses after an ornamental fence was stolen from the grave in Blaeberryhill Cemetery, Whitburn.

The small metal fence surrounding a grave in the cemetery was taken sometime between Monday (April 2) and Wednesday afternoon.

Police are appealing to members of the public for information to assist in identifying whoever took the fence.

A police spokesman said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen people acting suspiciously in the cemetery in Blaeberryhill at the start of the week to come forward.

“Anyone with any information regarding this incident should contact us on 0131 311 3131.”
