Boy in hospital after being hit by a bus

A 10-year-old boy is in hospital after being hit by a bus in Fife.

The Stagecoach vehicle struck the boy at around 17.30pm yesterday as he walked near the Civil Sports Club in Rosyth.

He was taken to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy with head and back injuries where his condition is described as stable.

No other person was injured during this incident.

The roadway at the scene is closed to allow initial investigations to be completed.

Fife Constabulary is appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision, or saw the pedestrian or the vehicle shortly before, to contact 0845 600 5702.
