Musselburgh Ladies Day heading for eight sell-outs in a row

MUSSELBURGH Racecourse’s annual Ladies Day is heading for its eighth consecutive sell-out with half of all tickets already sold for the June 15 race meeting.

Jenners and Frasers Ladies Day is Scotland’s most popular race meeting, attracting a full-house since it was first introduced in 2005, and is the only Scottish racing fixture to sell out in advance.

To cater for continuing demand Musselburgh has increased capacity to 8900 but course officials report 4900 tickets have already been snapped up and the signs are the event will be sold out by early May.

Musselburgh Racecourse commercial manager, Karen Taylor, said: “Jenners and Frasers Ladies Day at Musselburgh is widely regarded as one of the highlights of the summer social season and its popularity just keeps on growing.

“We don’t rest on our laurels and each year we make changes to keep it fresh and to offer excellent value for money and that is reflected in the excellent pre-sales we are experiencing.

“There is still three months to go until Ladies Day but we are half way to a sell-out. Each year we have hundreds of disappointed customers who have not managed to get a ticket and we would advise those thinking of coming to Ladies Day, not to hang back and to book now to avoid disappointment.”
