First new racing track revealed in 40 years

The first new racing circuit in 40 years was revealed today, at Knockhill Racing Circuit.

Commenting on the launch in Dunfermline, Derek Butcher, track owner since 1984, said, “I raced at the very first Knockhill bike meeting back in 1974 and couldn’t resist getting back on track today to try out the reverse direction.

“It was an absolutely amazing experience. It’s going to be a real challenge for all competitors and I think every driver and bike rider will enjoy the new direction just as much as I did.”

Jillian Shedden, Managing Director of Knockhill Racing Circuit comments, “It’s been great to see all our driving experience vehicles on track today.

“Our instructors have had great fun driving reverse direction today so I am sure all our customers will feel exactly the same way.”

“We look forward to hosting the first official reverse track event in May and getting feedback from the drivers.  It will be interesting to hear which direction they prefer!”
