Borders hospital ward shut by sickness bug

A ward at the Border General Hospital has been closed to admissions after several patients contracted the winter sickness bug, norovirus.

NHS Borders said infection control measures had been put in place to “minimise disruption”.

It has asked visitors to observe hygiene measures should they come to the hospital.

A statement added that there was no “cause for concern” over the condition of the patients.
