A SUSPICIOUS death in a small East Lothian town is being investigated by police.
A 59-year-old man died in Tranent on Sunday night and officers are now appealing for witnesses.
They are looking to speak to anyone who was near a takeaway in the town but say they are following a positive line of enquiry
A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for anyone who was in the area of the KOPAS, takeaway shop at 71 High Street, Tranent between 4.30 pm and 5.30 pm on Sunday 4 March and who may have seen a disturbance or anything suspicious to contact us.”
