Tributes paid to Borders crash man

Graham Milroy was just weeks away from his 25th birthday

THE family of a man killed in a road accident in the Borders have paid tribute to their “special son”.

Graham Milroy, from Torwoodlee in Galashiels, died after his Citreon Saxo collided with a Skoda Octavia on Wednesday afternoon.

The 24-year-old was driving on the A7 near Galashiels when the accident happened.

In a short statement issued through Lothian and Borders Police, his family said: “Graham would have been 25 years old in March and was a much loved caring son and brother.

“He loved music and working out daily and was a dedicated worker.

“He had applied to three universities this year and had long term plans to join the army and was looking forward to the future.

“We will miss our special son dearly.”

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident and any motorists who were on the road at the time and can assist officers with their enquiries are asked to contact police immediately.
