DETECTIVES are hunting a cruel thug who pushed over a woman walking with a crutch and stole her handbag.
The 45-year-old woman, who has a broken foot, was attacked in Leith, Edinburgh, after visiting shops.
Police said the victim was near the Trafalgar Bar, Henderson Street, when she was pushed from behind, falling to the ground.
The robber grabbed her handbag and ran off, meeting up with another man nearby.
A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: “While the woman wasn’t injured, she was understandably distressed as a result of what happened, and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact police immediately.
“Likewise, we want to speak to anyone who was in the area of Henderson Street who saw the suspect there, or nearby in the company of another man.
“Anyone who recognises his description, or who has any other information that can assist our inquiries, should also get in touch.”
The suspect is in his 30s, 5ft 9ins, round build, short blond hair, and wearing blue denim jeans and denim jacket.
