A MAN missing from his home since Sunday has been found dead.
Iain Ovens, 35, from Polbeth, was last seen leaving a friend’s house in Mooreland Gardens, Addiewell, West Lothian about 6.30pm on Sunday.
Police confirmed a body had been found at around 1.30pm on Tuesday and had been formally identified.
Mr Ovens was discovered in a wooded area near Addiwell.
A spokesman for Lothian and Borders police said: “Lothian and Borders Police can confirm that they have identified a body discovered in West Lothian yesterday as that of Iain Ovens who was reported missing on Sunday.
“His body was found in a wooded area in Addiewell yesterday afternoon. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
“We would like to thank media for their assistance in publicising our appeal for information regarding his whereabouts.”
