A YOUNG boy has been seriously injured after being hit by a car while crossing the road.
The 10-year-old was running across the High Street, Lochee in Dundee when he was struck by a white BMW car near the junction with Loon’s Road.
He was taken to Ninewells Hospital where he was found to have serious leg injuries.
Police say the boy was wearing light coloured trousers and a dark jacket and was seen running in the area immediately before crossing the road.
They are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or who was in the area and may have seen the boy or the vehicle immediately beforehand to contact them on 0300 111 2222 or speak to any Police Officer.
