THE Scots-based star of one of TV’s most watched reality shows today revealed didn’t know Irn Bru is Scottish.
Maria Fowler, who recently moved from Essex to Perth with her footballer boyfriend Lee Croft, also admitted she had never heard of Burns Night.
The Page 3 girl and The Only Way is Essex cast member made the faux pas on Twitter by asking one of her followers: “ha, what is burns…..
And when is it! I’m not eatin haggis!x
Her Twitter friend, @Sinbadsinead123, was quick to fill her in, replying “some Scottish night they all celebrate.”
The 25-year-old also drew a blank after being asked for a Scottish souvenir of some Irn Bru bars.
Her friend asked: “Plz bring me 100000 irn bru bars back on the 4th plzzzz! Can’t get them down here!!!”
To Miss Fowler replied, under her handle @MariaFowler,: “ahahhahaha I never knew irn bru was scottish ha….. Booked my hair in for the 4th woo x”
The reality TV star was in Edinburgh today, after moving to Perth with her boyfriend of four months Lee Croft. The Derby midfielder is currently on loan to St. Johnstone and the couple expect to stay in Scotland until mid may.
Miss Fowler, who has almost 300,000 Twitter followers, described the capital city as “ledge”. She also tweeted her problems at locating Edinburgh Castle, saying:
“Trying to get to the castle but can’t find stairs.. Anyone got any ladders? Ha”
The Glamour model grew up in Derby,England and has been romantically linked to both Jack Tweed and Aston Merrygold in the past and split from F1 test driver Adam Khan in March 2010.
