Police appeal after 12-year-old boy robbed

A 12-year-old boy has suffered a minor injury after he was assaulted and robbed of his phone in Skelton Road, Methven, last night (Thurs Jan 12).

Police are appealing for anyone with information

He suffered a bloody nose as a result of the incident, which happened at about 8pm. Although shaken, he did not need any medical assistance.

Officers want to trace the person responsible, who was last seen running north on Skelton Road before turning into Lyndoch Road. He is described as being in his mid teens and about six feet tall. At the time he was wearing a dark coloured hooded top and dark coloured baggy trousers.

Tayside Police would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, or who has information that could assist their enquiries to call 0300 111 2222, or speak to any officer.
