BRA queen Michelle Mone has said she is quitting Twitter following the break up of her marriage.
The prolific tweeter made the announcement less than 24 hours after issuing a statement saying she was splitting form her husband Michael.
Writing at 9am yesterday on the social networking site, the Ultimo boss said: “Thanks for all ur support at this very difficult time.
“For the time being I’m taking a break from Twitter. Have a great New Year.”
Mone used the site regularly to update her fans on her life and promote her underwear brand.
Since the announcement of her marriage breakdown, her page has been swamped by well-wishers.
Ultimo model Vikkie Bamber wrote a message of support: “Sorry to hear the sad news M, you’re a strong lady and in time hopefully it will get easier for you! Thanks for this year! X”
While Gordon Anderson assured her that the people of her homeland were behind her.
He wrote: “keepurchin up babe, All in Scotland thinking of you and your kids at this sad time.”
A company insider said: “Michelle loved using Twitter – she found it a great way to keep in touch wit people.
“She’s had a lot of support from her followers since the news.”
In a statement issued on Wednesday by lawyers Harper MacLeod, the split was described as “amicable”.
It added that “No other parties were involved.
“Michael and Michelle’s focus will be on the welfare of their children, which is their main priority. They will continue to work together in their business MJM International”
