Police closed the road for several hours after the crash

A WOMAN killed after her car hit a bus has been named by police.

Rosemary Fairbairn, 47, from Kennoway died on Thursday morning.

She was travelling on the Leven Road in a blue Ford Scorpio when she collided with a Stagecoach vehicle around 11.30am.

Medics were unable to save her and she died at the scene.

The road was closed until 4.30pm for investigations and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal at Kirkcaldy.
