Body found in Capital car park

A cordon has been placed round the hotel

A MAN’s body has been discovered in a city car park.

Police were called to an underground car park at the Travelodge in Edinburgh at 9.45am.

The man, believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s, was found lying on the ground.

Lothian and Borders Police said they are treating the death as unexplained.

A cordon has been placed around the back entrance to the hotel on St Mary’s Street near the Royal Mile.

An investigation of the scene has now begun.
