A MAN has died after crashing his motorcycle.
Robert Cornthwaite, 35, came off his Kawasaki ZX 1000 on the A701, near Beattock, at around 1.45pm on Sunday.
The biker crashed near a roundabout with the A74 (M) sliproad and suffered fatal injuries.
Dumfries and Galloway Police say it appears that the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved.
A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
They now want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this crash and ask that they contact them on 0845 600 5701.
