FIREFIGHTERS are battling a blaze at a disused printing works, though the danger of a collapsing roof means they can’t enter the burning building.
Relief crews have been called in after firefighters first rushed to the scene at 1.55am today.
The fire service said 32 firefighters were attending the blaze, at Young Street in West Calder.
A fire service spokeswoman said: “Due to the danger of the roof falling, we have been unable to go into the building.”
Fire crews were using a turntable ladder and breathing gear to fight the blaze. Two lines of hose reel were also being used to douse the flames and protect nearby buildings.
Staff from council Building Control will be attending the scene this morning.
The two-storey building in West Lothian is still alight.
