Thieves take animal medication

The clinic was targeted over the weekend

ANIMAL medication has been stolen following a break in to an Edinburgh vet clinic.

The Pentland Veterinary Clinic, on Riccarton Mains Road, Currie, was targeted sometime between midday on Saturday and 11.30am on Sunday.

Thieves took the drugs, which are only intended for animals under veterinary supervision.

Police say that if the medicine is taken by humans, medical attention should be sought immediately.

Lothian and Borders police are asking anyone who was in or around the Pentland Veterinary Clinic and witnessed any suspicious activity, or who can help identify the suspects to contact them immediately.
