Lara Croft comes on the market

The sellers are unsure if the property was named after Lara Croft, portrayed in films by Angelina Jolie

TOMB Raider fans have the chance to get their hands on their very own Lara Croft.

But rather than getting to grips with the voluptuous video game character, fans are being given the chance to snap up a home which shares her name.

Lara Croft is a six-bedroom home at Knockcrome on the Isle of Jura.

The people selling the £290,000 property, Bell Ingram, are hoping that the unusual name will attract house hunters keen to see if the property lives up to its action adventure namesake.

Steven Hornby, Property Manager at Bell Ingram’s Oban office said: “When Lara Croft came up for sale with us it caused a bit of amusement in the office as it’s not every day you come across a property with such an unusual name.

“The property was built in 2005 but we don’t know whether the owner chose the name because they were a video game fan, or whether it was some sort of lucky coincidence. Either way it is a fantastic property in one of Scotland’s most beautiful and diverse locations.”

The property boasts six bedrooms and two bathrooms and is close to a whisky distillery
