Picture special: First Scottish Field of Remembrance revealed

Hibernian FC captain Ian Murray took a break from training today to help with planting thousands of crosses in Scotland’s first ever Field of Remembrance.

Thousands of tiny wooden crosses were arranged in Princes Street to remember those who have fallen in battle.

Several poignant memorials could be seen amongst the rows.

The Field of Remembrance will open on Monday 7th November, as part of events to mark the 90th anniversary of the Scottish Poppy Appeal.
