Ally McCoist joins the armed forces

RANGERS manager Ally McCoist joined members of the armed forces to commemorate the 93rd anniversary of the Armistice.

More than 300 service men and women will be invited to Ibrox tommorrow (Sat) for a Remembrance event.

Representatives from each of the armed forces and a veteran from Erskine will lead the teams onto the pitch as a tribute to all those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and Rangers players will also wear special poppy strips as a mark of respect.

He said: “Once again it will be our pleasure to welcome members of the Armed Forces to Ibrox.

“The men and women who serve on the front line for their country are the true heroes in life and we look forward to seeing them at the Stadium. I know our supporters will give them a warm and deserved welcome.”
