Cupcake cuties are the ‘height’ of sophistication for Girls’ Day Out

A TRIO of retro dancers scaled Glasgow’s Titan Crane to celebrate the launch of this year’s Girls’ Day Out event.

The Kennedy Cupcakes climbed the 150ft structure to promote the event, which is taking place at the Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre (SECC) and is set to attract over 20,000 women from across Scotland and to generate £1.5 million for the UK beauty industry.

Event Director Tom Lovering said, “The interest for this November’s Girls Day Out show has been outstanding. We have signed up over 200 of the very best fashion, health and beauty brands from across Scotland and the rest of the UK, including House of Fraser, Mango and Hobbs – it’s guaranteed to be a fantastic day out for the ladies.”

The Glasgow event, which launched in 2009, is now in its third year and promises three days of fashion, shopping, live performances, fast paced catwalk shows, and inspirational hair and beauty demonstrations.

Tickets for the event are now available online from www.girlsdayoutshow.co.uk priced from £12-£15. Those with pre-booked tickets will receive Boots vouchers worth £10 (minimum spend applies), an exclusive boots goodie bag upon arrival worth a minimum of £30 and a cocktail and a glass of bubbly courtesy of One Up and 29 Private Member’s Club.
