STUNNING new pictures of the Greenland ice sheet were unveiled today to launch a new exhibition.
Our Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh’s five-star visitor attraction, is set to hold an an interactive exhibit on the awe-inspiring Greenland ice sheet.
On Thin Ice, run by the Cryosphere Research Group from the University of Edinburgh’s School of GeoSciences, will provide visitors with a unique insight into the world of Arctic scientists.
Visitors will learn about the cutting edge research being carried out on Greenland’s melting ice sheet and how it is responding to climate change.
Through a variety of visual and hands-on displays, interactive activities and discussion groups, the experts will bring to life the realities of researching one of Earth’s natural wonders.
The exhibit will run at Dynamic Earth for four days from Tuesday, October 18.
