A SEX offender is being hunted by police after going missing from his Dunoon home.
Peter Roy Woodhouse, 69, was last seen at Glasgow International Airport at around 10.30am on September 9, where he was to board a bus to Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow.
He was convicted of indecent assault and stalking a woman by a court in Hawaii in Januuary last year.
Police have appealed for him to turn himself in.
Detective Inspector Douglas Wilson, Dunoon CID said : “We know that Woodhouse has a number of alias names and has previously travelled throughout the USA and Canada where he was engaged in casual labour to support himself.
“It is possible that he has travelled elsewhere in the UK to seek similar casual work.
“Peter has failed to engage with the police and we now need to trace him as he is missing from his last known address.
Appeal
“I would ask that any one who has been contacted by him or knows his current whereabouts to get in touch with either their local police or officers here at Lochgilphead Police office.
“I would ask Peter himself to make himself known to police in his present area.”
Woodhouse is described as white, British, 5’8″ in height, of medium build, blue eyes, with short grey hair. He speaks with an American accent.
When last seen he was wearing a black & red check shirt , black trousers , black lace up shoes and a 3/4 length green anorak and carrying a black nylon rucksack .
