ONE of Grampian’s major roads was closed for several hours following a road accident.
The A96 between Keith and Fochabers was blocked by the two car collision at 7.30am today.
Both drivers are currently trapped in their vehicle but details of their injuries are unknown.
A medical helicopter has been called to the scene.
The incident took place near the Newton of Forgie approximately 1 mile north of the junction with the B9016.
The A96 is closed north bound at the junction with the A95 and south bound at Fochabers with the junction with the A98.
Traffic is being diverted along the A95 and A98.
