Missing man could have travelled to Scotland

Gavin Miller has been missing from Bournemouth since June

POLICE in Bournemouth are appealing for help finding a man who may have travelled to Scotland.

Gavin John Miller – also known by the last name of Dunne – of Southbourne Grove in Bournemouth, was reported missing at about 10pm on Monday, September 12 but was last seen in June.

Police Sergeant Andy Cutler, of Bournemouth police, said: “We need to find Gavin as a matter of urgency and establish that he is safe.

“In June he had stated that he would be travelling to Scotland by coach. Unfortunately, the exact location is not known but in March 2011 he is believed to have travelled by coach to Inverness.

“Gavin has no known family or friends locally. We think that he recently discovered he had a daughter in Scotland who had just graduated from a university there. The name of this university is unknown.”

Gavin is white, of medium build and approximately five feet nine inches tall. He has short brown hair.

PS Cutler continued: “I am appealing for anyone who has seen Gavin to contact police urgently.

“Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts should call us as soon as possible.”
