Pint is neigh problem for tattoo star

Cruachan III is served his pint by Lithuanian sisters Kristina and Zymante Stankelyte

A PLUCKY pony which serves as an army mascot has been turning heads – by having a pint after work.

Tiny Cruachan III pops into the pub following his nightly appearances at Edinburgh’s Royal Military Tattoo.

Staff serve the Shetland pony and alcohol-free beer and a packet of crisps as the 24-year-old celebrates a successful performance in front of 8,800 people.

The 9.1 hand star is joined in the Castle Arms by handler Major William Perry from the Royal Regiment of Scotland.
