Model scrubs up for animal charity

Megan Currie relaxes in her tub

A NAKED model took a bath on the city streets today (thurs) to protest against water wasted by the meat industry.

Vegetarian beauty Megan Currie took part in the stunt for animal charity, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

City businessmen his as smile as she romped in a bubble bath below Edinburgh Castle.

The event was to promote World Water Week and was held as meetings took place in Sweden to discuss global water issues.

The charity claims it takes the equivalent of 50 bathfuls of water to produce just one steak and that the best way to save water is to stop eating meat.

Megan, who is represented by the Erin Gavin Agency, said: “Not only does the meat industry inflict cruelty, it also wastes huge amounts of water and damages the planet”

According to PETA, it takes about 15,500 litres of water to produce one kilogram of beef, compared with just 1,000 litres to produce one kilogram of wheat.
