Cross collie Rosie handed herself into Bathgate police station

By Lauren Gelling

ARUNAWAY dog handed herself into a police station after escaping from her home.

Collie cross Rosie ran away from owner Karen Brown’s garden on Mid Street, Bathgate, last Thursday evening.

After realising Rosie was missing, Karen frantically searched for the 11-year-old pooch before calling Bathgate police station to enquire about any lost dogs.

But before officers had the chance to act, Rosie turned up at the police station, just half a mile away on the town’s South Bridge Street.

Karen’s son Nathan explained:

“Apparently she just wandered in through the automatic doors and sat down in reception.

“The receptionist had just been on the phone to my mum and immediately recognised her as Rosie.

“She called my mum and said

“you’ll never believe this but your dog has just handed herself in. “

“Mum went down straight away to get her. It seems she just didn’t like life on the run as a fugitive. “
