This year’s Edinburgh International Festival is to showcase the cultures of Asia.
The programme for the three-week arts event was launched in the capital on Wednesday.
Artists will be coming to Scotland countries including Japan, Korea, Indonesia and India.
Every type of performance will be represented, with music, dance, theatre and visual arts coming together for the internationally renowned event.
Jonathan Mills, the Edinburgh International Festival director, said: “European artists, explorers and philosophers have drawn inspiration from the Far East for centuries. This Festival draws inspiration from across the diverse cultures of Asia, from Vietnam to China.
