Woman aided by passer-by after car flipped onto roof

A WOMAN was pulled from her car by a brave motorist after crashing into a telegraph pole and flipping on to her roof.

The 23-year-old was driving along the B6364 Kelso to Stitchill road when the accident happened at around 6.30pm yesterday (Tue).

The passer-by stopped and helped her out of the back end of her car and stayed with her to wait for the emergency services.

A spokeswoman for Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue said: “We were called to a report of a woman being trapped in her vehicle but by the time we arrived she was already out.

“She was taken to the Borders General Hospital and was only suffering minor injuries.”
