A MAN has appeared in court in connection with the murder of a 22-year-old who was said to be assaulted at an address in East Lothian.
Paul Jared Scott died at an address in Toll House Gardens having been the victim of a serious assault on Monday, February 7.
James Purves, 29, appeared on petition at Haddington Sheriff Court today (Wednesday) in connection with his death.
He made no plea or declaration and was remanded custody until his next appearance.
The Scott family preciously released a statement through Lothian and Border Police.
It said: “Paul was adored by all his family and many friends, and we are all heartbroken.
“Our son, we will miss you forever xx.”
