A MURDER investigation has been launched after a man was attacked inside a flat in East Lothian.The 22-year-old victim died after suffering a “serious assault” at the address in Toll House Gardens, Tranent.
Police were called to the scene, a modern block of flats, at 4am today (Mon).
A 20-strong team of officers has been set up to investigate, based at nearby Dalkeith Police Station.
Police said they believed the man was in the address when a disturbance broke out. It is not clear if the attacker broke in or was already inside the building.
