Celtic Connections off to a flaming good start

A torchlight procession lit up George Square and Buchanan Street to mark the opening of the 18th Celtic Connections music festival as world famous musicians such as Bob Dylan grace the stage in 2011.

The artistic director hailed it among them most important in Scotland’s music festival calendar – describing the festival as being the equivalent of a shop window for performers looking to showcase their work.
