A 12-YEAR-OLD girl was left “traumatised” after being approached by a man in a silver car on Monday evening.
The girl ran off following a brief exchange between the two, which happened at around 4.40pm in High Valleyfield, Fife.
The intentions of the driver during this incident are at this time unclear and Fife Police are now appealing for witnesses to help establish his identity.
Detective Inspector Michelle Johnson, leading the investigation, said: “The man is described as being in his late 40s or 50s and spoke with a Scottish accent.
“He was driving what has been described as a large silver car.
“Fortunately the young girl was not injured as a consequence of this incident but has been left shocked and traumatised by it.
“I would appeal to the driver to come forward to explain his actions and would encourage any person with knowledge of this incident or suspect they know the man involved to call Fife Police on 0845 600 5702 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where all calls are treated anonymously.”
