Emmy award-winning actor Brian Cox visited Edinburgh today to urge people to donate 50 pence to the ’50p Life Change Appeal’.
Each 50p will enable a new Scots-based medical charity – Developing World Health – to treat a child for a year against the scourge of ‘forgotten’ neglected tropical diseases (NTDs).
It is estimated 1.4 billion (one sixth) of the world’s population is affected by the top seven preventable parasitic and bacterial infections that can cause death and physical deformity.
